how to modify skin? blue meets bluemce....

I'm trying to create a custom skin using only a few modifcations. while i like gbpvr's blue theme layout, i've gotten around to using the bluemce's background. i also like blue mce's glossy blue and glossy green menu buttons. attempted to resize those buttons to same size as blue and copy it to the corresponding folders, but can't get the left column text to display a green glossy button on the left.

i.e.
TV Guide
Search Guide
Recordings
Live TV
etc.

any ideas?

also, i saw there's a ton of pretty glossy icons in the default /blue folder. how come i don't see it anywere in the gbpvr program when i run it?

This already a BlueMCE theme for the Blue skin. See http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=21162

This is effectively uses the same blue skin, but replaces the BaseSkin.xml and some images used for button backgrounds etc.
