Hauppauge NOVA-T 500 no channels...

Hi there...
I've successfully installed the program and set up the DVB-T card, but when i'm trying to search channels it don't detect any signal at all during scanning :confused: The WinTV2000 program that followed the card worked just fine - hmmm... Anyone having ideas

I'm not really sure. The logs look ok, but it just never manages to lock onto a signal.

No, that's my conclution too :confused: I've tried another program - no problems, so my signal source is ok. 60% signal strength and 90-100% signal quality.

I have exactly the same symptoms - anyone else worked it out? I'm stumped now.

Any clues at all will be much appreciated, as I now have to own up to the wife that I've not acheived anything after investing lots of time!!

Sorry for the late response, we went away - and many thanks for your offer of help.

After several re-builds I now have a working system. To get the Hauppage NOVA-T 500 working, I needed to install Windows XP SP2 plus several fairly random updates (therefore requiring an internet connection, which wasn't in my original requirements!) and importantly MS's KB896626 hotfix. Eventually I got it working and quickly took a disc image - I don't want to go through that pain again. I have a couple of other issues, which I will post in existing relevant threads.

So far, it's looking pretty good.
