Since reven has stopped developing MyVideos, will the video player native to GBPVR support RMVB files? I get a lot of videos in that format and would love to play it within GBPVR.
Thanks

I read that with this codec you could play rmvb in wmp, so then they should play in gbpvr aswell I guess.

I do have that codec but the video player doesn't support the rmvb extension. With the MyVideos, there was a way to specify it to pick up .rm or .rmvb files. Is there functionality to do that with the video player so I don't have to rename all my .rmvb files to .avi for it to play?

I'll add rmvb as a known extension for the next release.

I am trying to get RMVB files to play over the MVP.
I have installed the Real Alternative codec and Windows Media Player 10 will play the files. GBPVR will play the files directly on the server if I rename them as AVI or MPG ( I am still running 98.13b), but when I try to play them on the MVP the screen goes black for a few seconds then it just returns to the Video Library menu. Any ideas ? Thanks.

To be honest, I dont think its going to work on the MVP regardless of what you try. Sorry!

OK No prob.
I have just found a little app to convert them to Mpeg. So I'll convert offline instead. Regards
