I like Music Player (not so much 2) because I have mp3 and wma files.

I have 2 requests I would love to see. When you are in a playlist, I would love to play it shuffled instead of straight through. If I put on 4 or 5 albums... I may want them mixed up. (Like if I put music from 4 artists into a playlist for dinner music, I don't want all of 1 artist to play, then the next artist.)

Second request... saving of playlists. However, I saw that m3u was playable... so I have to dig deeper to see if some of my already created playlists work.

I tried going to 'My Playlists' and playing a valid .wpl file. It crashed.

Here's the error log bit:

I do not know Music Player, but Music Library 2 does allow you to to make collections of artists, and next let them be played randomly. I must admit that you must predefine the collections in the configuration menu, which may be a bit cumbersome if you want to change the collections frequently.

That looks like an error being logged by GBPVR itself, not the music player plug-in. Maybe sub can take a look to see if something jumps out at him.

I could be wrong, but I'm guessing its something to do with the ".." embedded in the middle of the filename being passed into the GB-PVR API.

Ah... yes... I betcha that's a nice little 'feature' of Windoze Media player, when it created the play list...
Wonder how I can work around that...

I think that is how windows media player creates all playlist paths. I don't use playlists myself so I don't test this feature, but I am pretty sure BPVR used to accept paths with .. in the middle of them in some earlier release.
