Feature Request: cancel recording and ignore all subsequent instances

i love the EWA and use it pretty much exclusively for scheduling and managing my recordings. it is one of the best features of GBPVR.

one request based on my usage. i have quite a few seasonal recordings set up and find myself in constant battle with deleting recordings that i have either already recorded or, more specifically, have never recorded and am not interested in recording. i would like to see another button in the manage recordings table under "cancel" that is something like "Cancel All" or "Ignore All" which could, for example, basically tag the GBPVR database with the entry that it has recorded the show in the past. this in combination with the GBPVR <AvoidDuplicateRecordingsIfPossible> setting would then not schedule any future instances of this show.

That would be a feature that would need to be added into GBPVR itself.

EWA simply is a web interface that plugs into the public API for GBPVR....there is not a lot of EWA specific coding....the functionality is driven from the API that is avaialble.

That said....if you are a Zap2It user there is a setting you can set in GBPVR to not record repeats and it will not schedule shows flagged as a repeat....when that is set and you schedule through EWA you should not get a recording of a repeat show.

got it. i didn't realise it was all being performed through GBPVR API's.

i don't think the zap2it repeat flag will work for this in a general sense. it just signifies that the show has been previously aired, but you may or may not have taped it.
