I've seen this several times now - if I delete a recording that is "ongoing" it crashes the newa service
(cannot connect to the page) and requires a restart of the recording service to fix.

If I cancel first its OK.

I guess you should always cancel first, but mistakes do happen ;-)

Is this a known problem? or shall I attach logs?

Freesat + 3.1.1 NO patches.

More info - the recording service itself doesnt seem to crash - it carries on with it's schedule. Its the
newa service that seems to have died.

Can you post your web.log file following the crash so I can see what is reported within it?

I don't think that this problem is related to NEWA. I discovered a few days ago while testing switching to OTA tuner sources, that NPVR itself has problems when you try to delete an in-progress recording (without cancelling first). I was focused on getting the OTA recordings to work, so didn't pursue getting logs, etc. at the time.

I'll post my logs the next time it happens.

It is 100% reproduceable here.

The web.log should point to where the crash is happening.....

hmmm.... nothing showing in there...... I see some errors on channel icons but no show stoppers. Did you click cancel and it crashed? I am wondering if there was a web.log1 file that had the error and this web.log was created when the service recovered.

I didnt see a .LOG1 file - I'll try again and check tho.

I didnt "cancel" it I checked the delete box for the active recording and then clicked the "delete" button at the top.

It's OK if I cancel it first.

I have attached all the web.log files I can find immeadiately after reproducing this problem.

Thanks.... still nothing in the log... but knowing that you are executing a delete helps and that the error doesn't occur on a cancel..... I'll take a look during the Thanksgiving weekend ad post a patch once I figure it out.
