I noticed some of my recordings were recording the wrong channel the other day. I did a survey of my setup, and found that indeed I might have entered some of the channel mappings wrong. But, digging a little deeper, I may have found a genuine issue, and I hope someone will tell me that my fears are unfounded.
I have 3 tuners in my DVR, one is the PVR150MCE and the other is the ATI Theater 650 Pro, which has one input for SD signals, and another for digital.
I have 3 inputs going here. My cable is a little weird as it has some programs on an A cable, and some on a B cable. Yes, there are actually a pair of coax cables comiing into the house. Then, third, I have HDTV/DTV coming in over the aerial. What this means is, I could have, say, a channel 3 that is THREE DIFFERENT PROGRAMS. One for the signal on Cable A, one for the signal on Cable B, and then another from the aerial.
So, my guess is, just because I tell the recorder that I want to record the DTV program on my guide on channel 3, it may go looking on another tuner/source for that channel. Is this correct? If so, I may have quite a dillema on my hands!
