Upgrading from 98.8b

Good evening--

I'm currently running 98.8b, and have not converted my database from my original install, so I believe I'm running on Access/.mdb vs. your current releases. I'm running into a few problems, most notably that I'm having trouble adding new recordings...my current recurring recordings seem to be working ok, but I can't adjust them or add new ones.

Before I waste a lot of community time troubleshooting old releases, I thought I should probably get current first. What upgrade path would you suggest in order to convert my existing database and upgrade to the most current release?

It should still work fine with the Access database.

All I'd really recommend is backing up you gbpvr.mdb and config.xml before attempting the upgrade on the off-chance something goes wrong.

Can you think of any reason that recurring recordings I'm setting don't "stick"? I go through all the motions, but they don't show up in my Pending or Recurring lists.

P.S. Any compelling reason to convert my database from Access, or was the conversion more for your convenience than anything else?
