is it possible for the music module to be amended so that it can play .wma files as well as .mp3 files just as the jukebox plugin can.

Ok, but these will only playback on the PC - not the MVP or PVR350.

Because neither the MVP hardware or the PVR350 is capable of playing WMA audio files. Hauppauge have recently added support for playing back WMA files via their MVP software, but this involves using Directshow for transcoding on the PC before sending in a format the MVP can understand. I'm not going there at this stage.
