Dont think it needs a manage reminders screen... Just should cancel reminder once play or cancel is selected.

The reference to the cool feature I didn't know about had me working to figure it out; what it was and how to work it. By pressing the play key instead of the okay button on a listing of show in the tv guide that will be showing in the future, a message will be displayed in the future (2 minutes before the start of the show) reminding you that it is on and asking if you want to watch it or cancel the message. When I cancelled, I did get a second message but not a third. I wasn't sure how many times I had pressed the "play" key in trying to find out what the feature was so I am not sure if the repeat was me pressing the play key too long or too often or whether I will always get a second chance to watch.

The message will also display while watching recordings. In fact, that is my primary use of this feature. I want to watch a show at 8pm and it is 7:10. I likely have enough time to watch a 1 hour recording by skipping through the commercials but if I set a reminder first, I can stop the recording at 8, watch the show and then come back and resume any part of the recording I haven't seen yet. Note that the feature worked for me in the community skin as well as the blue skin.

Great feature!

You could of course record the 8 show too and watch it after you finished your other show.Wink

I agree that this part should work, but I think in the future, accompanying the reminders with one screen in the Recording screen would help. What if you set several reminders, and now forget what/where/when they are?
The same way you wouldn't like to manage all your future recordings through the guide screen, same goes for reminders (which for me, are recordings without... well... the recording part Smile ).

I have not tried this feature yet...
but wouldn't it be logical to hit "stop" on the highlighted reminder and it be canceled?

You should only get the reminder once (unless you restart the app). It doesnt remove the reminderd entirely due to the fact it may be another client that was interested in the reminder.

Worst case senerio... you mark a scheduled program of 6-12 hours... and you are using MVP's around your house that you use your Harmony remotes to bring up and down with your TV....

Everytime you turn one of these TV's on during the 6-12 hours then, they are going to hit you with the reminder, that you can't get rid of.

And yes, this is my environment.. and I will do my best to not hit play on a future program again.

Yeah, there is a couple of uglies when it comes to MVP use, but I did ask for specific advice prior to implementing this and no one piped up with good suggestions at the time...

If hitting play or cancel on the pop-up then cleared the reminder, would clear the small issue it can create. Not something I would have thought of until I saw it in practice.

I'm with moymike, a Cancel Reminder option that DOES completely cancel it would be a good option for me too.

I had a few of these pop up in succession during a show and it started to get a bit too much after a while. Perhaps a config option which allows you to choose if you want to Cancel ALL reminders (for those who only use a 1 MVP or 1 PC system)?
