In the past I have used Auto Gordan Knot to compress my TV recodings. However I am thinking of switching to a more advanced encoding format. Could anyone reccomend a similar easy to use "one click" programme that converts inot h264 etc.

try the ATI AVIVO encoder..there's a link on here somewhere for it..
is lightning fast on h264 compared to all the others i've seen...
even tho it's ATI it will still work on other cards..
and it is really 1 click solution...[a drawback to me..lol]
[i even made an alternate gui for the codecs...Smile]

will even auto-size it to fit dvd if needed..
does every other known format i can think of too..Big Grin
from ipod to psp, mpeg and avi...
should be just what the Dr. ordered..

I've been playing around with something called SUPER.
http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

I havn't decided yet if I like it or not.
There are a lot of options when it comes to tweaking quality settings for x264.
