Yup look through the threads before posting this.

Installed drivers from freecom to get the device to read. Went to config followed previous posts:
BDA recordign plugin selected frecom device 1

Selected bleb (UK) for epg source. Updated and then enabled channels.

Clicked map channels and it just errors me saying check GB PVR unable to start the BDA device check its all configured and not in use. Then fed me the following debug details... See attachment.

Thanks

I'm sure sub will put me right but this appears to me as though gbpvr isn't able to communicate with the freecom stick.

You don't say which version of the stick you have - there are now 4(?) and sub has kindly inserted sections in the bda.ini file for each. The trouble is that each identifies its capture and tuning devices differently and you need the correct strings to be able to control the device via bda.

Can you identify your stick? Does it show up in graphedit? Scanbdachannels? What happens if you click on the 'only show connected devices' box during the bda capture device setup? NB I'm at work and not near a gbpvr machine so I may have got the exact name of the tickbox wrong but I'm sure you can identify the one I mean.

Hope this helps

I had a similar problem - it only worked once.
have a look at this thread and see if it's the same. I still have to clear C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\bda cache files to do a mapping.

Martin (please let me know if this fixes it).

It jsut shows it as Freecom DVB so I assume that would be type one.

Do you all use Bleb as the epg. Reading a few posts i saw that xhtml ones seemed to be more popular but I couldnt get any channels when I tried xmltv but didnt get any files (and yes I had gone into settings and ticked radio times)Rolleyes

Nope clearing the cash made no difference Sad

I use xmltv and the radio times listings but you have to do more than just tick the RT box. Let me check....
tools, settings, grabbers, tick UK_RT and highlight it, click the 'channels' button and then pick the channels you want in the listings. OK and run it.

Sorry, can't think of anything else at the mo about the error...

Once you have mapped channels the tuning request should have something in it.
As far as I see it, the column on the left is the one that comes from the EPG and the column on the right is the one that is scanned from the DVB-t card. The tick box says if you want it to be used. Take care here - I went wrong and picked a few channels that were pay-tv without knowing. My list on the left has a lot of channels as I use RF, Sky and dvb so you have to take care with the ticks and which tuner has those channels.
The column on the right is a drop down list when you are in the mapping bit and I guess contains the techy do-dahs needed to pick that channel.

Martin

Note the pic has British Eurosport - I get this from Sky, so no tick - there is tuning request info as the channel is available on DVB, but only with subscription - not at all easy to spot this!
