Hi

Having problems with recording programs but can't seem to figure it out. Everything seems to work fine, have great live tv picture, epg great (Far suprior to anything ive seen!)
Recoding quality is superb, but programs seem to be cutting short no matter what lenth the program is, i.e a 1 hour program might reord just 23 minutes or just 8 minutes. there does not seem to be any pattern to it. I have yet to get a complete recording!

Anyone got any ideas? Drive space is not an issue full specs as follows -

AMD athalon XP 18001.5 ghz
512 MB Ram
HD 30Gb Free
Freecom DVB-T USB
Win XP SP2

That one should be ok. Some earlier version caused short recordings.

To rule out the mux as the problem, you might need to record using the DVR-MS mux option temporarily to see if it exhibits the same behaviour.

In the logs above was there a specific recording I could look at? ie, what was the name, when was it supposed to record, and how long did it really record?

Have tried DVR-MS mux originally but could not playback files!!? (Only played sound) but i know they were cutting short too.

All programs in logs failed to get complete recording, one example was "Green Wing" Total recoring time should have been 1hr 3 mins with padding, however only recorded 4 Minutes.

Sorry, I'm not really sure. According to the logs GB-PVR thought it was recording for the entire duration. It looks like either the device or the mux just stopped producing data.

Turns out to be a problem with my USB PCI expansion card that TV card was plugged into. Moved to USB slot on Motherboard and now is perfect. If you have similar problem got to be worth a try. Big Grin Big Grin
