I have a dish 322 with 2 tuners. Basically TV 1 tuner uses IR, TV2 tuner uses built-in UHF. I have the output of both tuners going to my PVR 150's (check my sig for my setup). With TV1, I setup a serial IR blaster and it works great. I was just setting a timer for TV2, but ended up recording 20 minutes of The Simpsons while recording a [american] football playoff game. Essentially a timer from the regular season kicked in and changed the channel for me. How nice.

Anyway, I've been scratching my head trying to figure out how to change the channels on TV2 (from a PC) and have been unsuccessful. I have an older dish box somone had in their garage and gave me (dish 301) and thought about setting that up instead of TV2 on the dish 322. Then getting an IR to UHF converter kit, and basically IR blasting (both from UHF AND from the PC). Of course the kit costs around $50, a price which I'd like to avoid. Actually I'd just love to be able to have PC change the channel on TV2.

Has anyone come up with a solution?

not really.. at least none that are 'free' ... I decided I would just dedicate 1 tuner to PVR150, and the other tuner is free for the TV that is connected to it in the bedroom. I too did a lot of looking around for other options.. but decided I would just record on the single tuner.. if I were you.. I would hook up your extra box on the second pvr, and use the available tuner in the 322 for a tv in the garage or other room... (note: if you have that many sat runs available)

Good luck tho
