I've had this happen a couple of times, where it records a show with two files--one is like a 4 minute file and the other is the 60 minute file.

For example, in my folder I have:

Beauty and the Geek_20070124_20002100 (4 min 24 sec)
Beauty and the Geek_20070124_20002100-2 (1 hour 1 min)

GBPVR seems to have picked up on the longer one when it shows in gbpvr. In other words, it just shows beauty and the geek as one recording. The 4 min is pretty much the 4 mins of prepadding. It has only happened twice.
If you want to know why nPVR is the bomb, ask my wife!

It probably means you reboot or restarted the recording service while a recording was in progress.

I love this feature - I suffer bad signal strength every now and again and sometimes need to restart recording service.

However Recordings will only play the latter of the files, could they be stitched together so playing Beauty and the Geek from Recordings actually does a 'play all' for that date and time?

There is nothing to join the files automatically (well, I havent seen anything announced) , but if you check out this post:

http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=6

Then you should be able to set up a batch file as described to check if you have a multi part recording and merge them after recording has finished.

Cheers
