Hi Frank,

Thanks for all your work btw . . . much appreciated.

I have downloaded your latest version and your recent beta version and simply replaced the ZProcess.exe with your new versions. Lately however, my converted files are very jerky. The video stutters so to speak but the sound remains consistent. Any ideas? I don't have a lot of experience with Zprocess but I basically select a file and then transcode using Trans2MVP - Target DVD and memcoder. Never had a problem with jerky videos before . . . likely I am missing something . . .

I run your program standalone btw and then view the finished file using the HP program (not GBPVR).

Any advice would be much appreciated . . .

Thanks

Hi Peter. ZProcess couldn't be contributing to the jerky playback. It's not involved on that level. I'd say that something else is happening...

If the video plays back on the computer fine, but trouble viewing them on MVP, there's probably a network issue where something else is hogging bandwidth. Or possibly, another process that's running while the MVP is playing the transcoded MPG...

Especially if you transcode manually, then we're looking elsewhere... Maybe the HP program... I have seen this problem (on the forum) often. It's usually related to new codecs, or muxes...

Thanks for the response Frank, however the video play back is jerky on the computer as well, while the original avi is smooth . . . This is going to be a challenge to figure out Sad

Take care . . .

Today I had a jerky video playing from the computer. Then I realized there was a virus scan going on. I stopped the scan and the video stopped jerking.

That's what I was talking about: Something that is running that is now competing with the computer CPU or network...
