I haven't had any luck getting the program alert function to work. It paused like it wants to tell me the other show is starting, and when I leave the program I'm watching, there's a "not set to an object" kind of error.

I hope you fine-tune and develop this function more. Short of having it change channel, it's a great new & welcome function. I know a lot of folks have been looking for something like this.

Can you reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs?

Are you still using the default blue skin, or something else?

I used it again, and this time no error, but it opened in the background, and I didn't see it until I hit esc to exit to the guide. It flashed on the screen and then closed.

I use the default skin.

What screen were you in at the time? TV Guide?

Can you reset your logging level to 'debug' next time you post the logs.

Watching TV. The alert nvr comes to the front, but when I esc to the guide, I can see it.

It seems to pop-up just fine when not watching TV.

I got the error trying it again (hoping vmr9 custom would fix).

Sry I was only on error for log settings. Let me know if you need more detail, and I'll turn up the setting and try to recrate.

Yeah, try and set it back to debug and reproduce and I'll take a look at the logs.

I tried, and got a new variation. This time it looks closer to how it is supposed to work.

When the alert comes up, the screen flashes the alert, and then goes away, and then flashes again. It comes on/off every second or so, like a blinking xmas light. It certainly gets your attention, but it only responds to key presses when it is in the foreground. So you see it, back to tv, decide to cancel or accept, back to tv, press ok.

I'll go out on a limb and say this is not intended.

I attached some log samples again that show some errors.

Btw, I noticed it keeps using 720x540 to do the ratio...it that intentional when it is normally 720x480?

10:28:55.828 VERBOSE setSourceAspectRatio() using autoAspectRatio
10:28:55.828 VERBOSE video resolution is 720 x 540
10:28:55.828 VERBOSE source is 4:3
