PC locks when viewing recordings in progress

I'm not sure if this has been covered. I have been using GBPVR for about a month and it works great.

The only problem that I have been having is that the system sometimes locks when I am watching a recording while it is in the process of recording. For example, I am recording "Heroes" which was on last night at 9. At 9:15, I begin watching the recording (while it is still recording the show). It works fine (continues to record as I watch what it has already recorded) but then while fast forwarding through a set of commercials by pressing the 1 minute forward button on my remote, the entire system freezes.

Am I simply asking too much of the software or is there a way to resolve the problem?

Here are my system specs:

Hauppauge PVR-150MCE
Windows XP
Celeron 2.9 Ghz
80 Gb Hard Drive
1 Gb memory
GBPVR

If the machine is literally freezing, ie Ctrl-Alt-Delete etc dont work, then its most likely something going wrong one of the drivers on your machine. Maybe video card?

I was/am having this same problem. From what I've been able to determine so far it appears it may be a conflict between sound card (not sure what you are using, but my problems began when I install a Montego DDL card based on the CMI8768(? if I remember correctly) sound chip).
I'd be interested to know what sound card you are using, and other system components. As yet I haven't been able to figure out where the problem is arising as I've had... other issues to take care of, and have not had time to work on it (today is the first time I've gotten a breather to think about it).
Personally, I'm running:

AMD Athlon XP +3000 ~2.2gig
1.5gig ram
Pvr 250
Montego DDL (using the spdif optical out)
Belkin F5D6001 Wireless
Windows 2000 sp4
DX 9.0c (used both with and without the quartz.dll replacement)
