I just set it to InterVideo, which seems to be the best decoder, and overlay mode. I could navigate the menus just fine, but once I tried to watch live TV, it just hung on the show's description after I pushed "watch". I've attached the most recent logs. Hopefully, you can see what's going on there... would love to try live TV in overlay mode. Thanks!

I can see Directshow on your machine is selecting a a couple of unexpected items to use for playback, which I'm sure is causing the problem you're seeing. Directshow can work in strange and mysterious ways.

Can you do the same thing with the Cyberlink or Nvidia decoder and post the logs again? I want to see if the same thing is happening.

I just changed it to GPL Mpeg, the only other decoder I left on the system after I tried the others. I tried to tune to a non-HD quality channel since that codec can't handle HD quality. Got the same result. I've attached the logs again.

I could uninstall SageTV, no problem... just tried it out earlier and haven't uninstalled it yet.

Yeah, same thing happened.

I'm not 100% sure it'll fix the problem, but its probably worth a shot. If it still doesnt work, zip and attach the logs again.

sub, THANK YOU!!!

Uninstalling SageTV seems to have solved all my problems. Overlay now works and true HD now plays live within GBPVR as smooth as butter (after maybe a skip or two when changing channels). Going to test out recording soon, but I presume it will be just fine.

thank you thank you!
