Playlist Option for Videos and Recordings

Lets face it, sometimes you want to watch more than one video at once and perhaps you don't want to watch them in the order they're already in (as in "Play All").

How about in the Video and Recordings Menu you have the option (off to the side like where the "Transcode" feature is) to add a selection to a playlist that can be played through. Would be really great when you're watching stuff before you go to sleep!

If you can describe a very simple way it could work with a minimal set of screen changes, then I can look at adding it for you. I dont want to create new screens for viewing/editing/reordering/clearing the lists etc (this feature is important enough to me to justify all this type of work).

If you can describe an approach in detail, then it improves the likelihood that I'll do it. It'd help to describe all the interactions that would need to be added to support this (how to add videos, how to initiate playback, how to clear the list if you change your mind etc...)

Could a simple way be something like this...
Start a video like normal..click menu button to get back to menu screen...
clicking on another video will cause a pop-up asking whether to watch or add to queue...subsequent clicks on videos cause the same thing.
If user chooses watch instead of add to queue then the queue is deleted.

I don't think a re-order would need to be implemented...

Not sure what to do to skip a video and move to the next one.
Possibly just to keep it simple maybe just make the user skip to the end of the currently playing file and when that is done the next one will start...

I like the way that sounds. Not the way I imagined it, but effective none the less.
