Hi Martint123,

Ok, that would make sense. I do agree that in the case of DVB-T it is easy to just add more receivers. For DVB-S it is a different situation.

BTW (stustunz) : recording multiple channels over less hardware does not have to be less stable. DVB Dream is able to display multiple channels (PIP) of the same transponder simultaneously w/o problems. The problems I see with MediaPortal are somewhere else.

well reading between the lines of what sub said it sounds like it would be
sounds like he wont be doing it
dont get me wrong sounds like a great idea and save on pci slots

but i could be wrong

To me saving slots is an excellent argument.

I currently have a PVR 350 on the shelf due to lack of slots (had to get a RAID-controller to manage the volume of recordings). Also, I had to get a PCI-E card for DVB-T locking me somewhat in for upgrades (now need PCI-E AND PCI to accommodate the tuner HW).

I shure would second the request from a hardware- space/slot/cable/money/... -management point of view.

I know it's been mentioned several times before, but maybe some fine day ... Rolleyes

Sorry guys, I wont be doing this. Given the limitations that come with this, it's not worth the effort.
