I thought I should spend a night or so configuring my Harmony remote as it's supposed to be configured.

What I would like is to say that I have a device that guarantees that exactly all buttons on the remote is mapped. I can then tech GB-PVR whatever I want.

Is anyone familiar with which device I should pick during setup. I tried Micorsoft Media PC Remote 1039 but then the PG+ and PG- wasn't mapped.

I have an Harmony 688.

I like mine , but I use a MVP, so I picked the PVR150 and all the buttons just worked.

I had a Harmony 6xx model, but switched to a Harmony Xbox remote when I went with MVP.

The Harmony Xbox remote has extra buttons, including the 4 color buttons. Since you can configure the color buttons, I found this remote to more easily mimick the MVP remote.

The buttons have a click, which I don't care for... although all the Harmony 8xx models have the click also. Also, the buttons are a bit small.

The other reason I left the 6xx model behind is that it did not have the -> and <- keys.
