slow connection and no content

I'm a newbie here, but been lingering around for a little bit. I downloaded and started using GBPVR about a month ago just on my desk top with a pvr250 card. Everything worked great on the computer. The other day, I upgraded to a PVR 500 card and it is working perfectly. Yesterday, I added an MVP 1000 to my system in order to connect my desktop to the TV to watch the recorded content.

Well, to begin with, the MPV takes about 3-4 minutes to connect to the GBPVR software on the desktop. When it finally does come up, I can see all the menues and what I have recorded, but when I go to play it, or even live TV, all I get is a black screen. I can get pictures to show up, and it can even connect to You Tube content, but I can't get live TV to play or get any of my recorded TV shows which will play fine on my computer.

I am running version 0.99.05. I did not load any of the MVP software (I did, but then read that I don't need it and uninstalled it before using it). Other than that, I have no idea. Any thoughts?

Well, I guess if you read the FAQ's long enough, you stumble upon the solution. Apparently, it was a firewall issue within Windows XP. I used the MVP media server app, clicked unblock, and then it worked fine.
