I am house sitting for a friend this week and I was using their DVR to record some shows and I noticed an options that I thought would be nice. If I schedule a recording like a sport event. I always like to extend that recording an extra 30 minutes. Well at home with the MVP that means I have to hit the remote right arrow button 30 times? which is slow sometimes especially if I want to make it even longer.

The DVR here lets me do it in 2 ways. If I hit the arrow on the remote to the right it increases the increments by seconds like normal. But if I hit the arrow to the left it scrolls to options like
" 2 hours Later", “1 1/2 hours later", "1 hour later", 30 Minutes Later", "15 minutes Later" "10 Minutes Later", "9 Minutes Later" and so on.

would this ever be possible to add?

I probably wouldnt do it like that, but it sounds like something is needed. Maybe the ability to type 30 for 30 minutes etc?

I was thinking about this concept as well, but for other reasons. I have a few channels that their timing is off from other channels. Meaning, 12:00 for some channel is 12:01 for everyone else. Which presents a problem if you record something back to back. Typically that requires you to miss part of one show or the other. Would it be possible to change pre/post padding to 30 seconds? It is unlikely you would miss the material of the old program while still being able to transfer over and hopefully catch the stuff from the other channel.
