I primarily use EWA for scheduling recordings so I spend the majority of my time using the Episode Search capabilities... so little improvements made here mean a lot!

I have a relatively small number of "favorite" channels (< 15) and a small number of genres that are of interest to me (probably < 10).

Alternate options that I think would meet my needs are:

a) Allow me to leave the genre BLANK (I assume this equates to ALL) and then select my group of favorite channels. While the Episode Search page theoretically allows this, I end up with an "index out of range" error if I select more that about 3 channels. Obviously EWA has to sort through a lot of info in this instance and it is presumably simply running out of allocated memory.

b) Allow the genre selection widget to function more like the channels selection widget... allowing me to select more than one genre as a group. In this way I could (theoretically) select my favorite multiple genre first, and then select my multiple favorite channels second.

c) Maybe have some place on the config page where I could enter my favorite channels (as a list) and my favorite genre (as a list) and then have a single button on the Episode Search page that is simply "search your favorite channels and genre"... this being (perhaps) my favourite option.

Perhaps there is already a way to do accomplish my goal of which I am unaware....

How much memory do you have on your machine? If you do not select any genre or channel then every channel is searched for your search argument so I would suspect to see an out of memory occur with nothing but your search phrase entered....does this occur?

I updated this for the next release.

I have added the ability to create/delete saved searches that you can name. You can have as many saved searches as you want.....you will just need to select your saved search and then all the search parameters will be filled in based on the saved search.

I don't recall how much memory on my home PC (and I'm away from it at the moment). I'm using a "blank" search phrase, leaving the genre set also to "blank" but then selecting 2-3 channels before hitting search. If I select a group of channels that is larger than 2 or 3, then I get the "out of memory" error.

This may be moot since the other changes that you are making look like they might do the trick! Thanks :-)

Thanks.....I was able to duplicate and I expanded the array that is built when you do a search so shouldn't run out of space anymore.
