I just received the Moto DCT700 from comcast. I have installed the laster IR Blaster software version 4 from Hauppauge website and could not configure it to control the DCT700 from the PVR150 retail. If anyone here gets it working, please let me know what code you are using it with.

Thanks.

The first picture is the right box. I taped the transmitter on the 3/4 inche from the right edge and go thru all the codes but nothing works. I already send an email to Hauppauge support for help.

There is very little information regarding IR blaster for this box on the web, so I hope someone from this forum might have it works already.

Couldn't you capture the codes coming out of the remote and then build a config file? I haven't used hauppauges IR blaster, but use winlirc and a serial ir blaster.

I picked up a packard bell IR receiver and remote for around US $7 with shipping a couple of years ago on Ebay. These puppies are old (7+ years) but there were tons of them. With the reciever, you can use winlirc to capture the codes for each key on the remote, then use that for the config file. You can pick up a serial ir blaster for $15 w/ shipping and use winlirc to send the codes.

Warning, it's a pain to setup the GBPVR -> winlirc connection, but there are some posts around here that spell it out. Search for 'digits.exe'

Might be an afforable option until Hauppage adds support for your unit.

Here's an Ebay link to the remote/receiver (the remote is crap, but the reciever is good for caputuring codes) http://cgi.ebay.com/PACKARD-BELL-Fast-Me...dZViewItem

Here's a link to the serial ir blaster:

If you get one from irblaster.info, make sure you tell them you are on a windows system. They build them somewhat differently (for some reason) for windows compared to linux.

Really? I've ordered 2 of them and never said a thing about it being on Windows. I don't really know how you make a cable differently based on whether it's Windows or Linux - they both adhere to the same specs on the serial port.

Neither do I. I can't for the life of me find where they state that. I thought I had that statement in my mailbox, but... Sad I must have dreamt it. But I was quite sure they said that to me once.

I was able to control the DCT700 by replaced the faulty IR blaster and use code 85 for controlling the box.
