Any chance of doing a client/server setup? I'm currently using Myth with 1 backend & 4 frontends.

Thanks!

You can currently to client/server using Media MVP's as clients. I have plans for other clients sometime soon.

GB-PVR is already uses a split client/server architecture, but there is a few things I'd need to do to allow PC based remote clients.

This is a feature i would really like too, which gave me a thought...

If someone where to ever write an MPV compatible client, a kind of mvp emulator, then it would just work with GB-PVR and give us the client server ability. Ive searched but nothing seems to exsist though [Image: sad.gif]

Not sure what you are saying. GB-PVR and MVP already work as a client-server relationship. With a MVP as a client you do anything you can do with GB-PVR...except play DVDs.

Gerry

EDIT: Or are you saying a MVP emulator running on your PC letting your PC act like a MVP client? I think sub is heading to a full PC client which should be better.

Yeah this is what i meant, if someone unrelated to the gb-pvr project ever wrote one (which i'd be surprised if nobody ever did) it would be able to be used with gb-pvr to give a pc client/server capability.
