Now I have tested some more. It's a MEncoder problem, both ffmpeg and vlc trancoding works. I took the command line from the logfile and executed in cmd to see if there was any error messages. This is the result:

C:\>"C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Third Party\mplayer\mencoder.exe" -oac lavc -o
vc lavc -of mpeg -mpegopts format=dvd:tsaf -vf lavcdeint,scale=720:328,expand=0:

mple=48000,volume=0.0,volnorm -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg2video:vrc_buf_size=1835:vrc_
maxrate=6000:vbitrate=6000:keyint=15:acodec=mp2:abitrate=224:aspect=4/3 -ofps 2

Do you mean regional settings in your Windows? If that's true, that's great you found the issue: Great Troubleshooting.

But it's sort of not great, as GB-PVR has a very international user base. I would hate to find out that the regional settings have to be adjusted...

Do the subtitles display Swedish OK?

BTW, I have another version of ZProcess. I would not worry about "If It ain't broke why fix it..."

I have built in file and version checking for the different support files. It's a much quicker way for us to see if your are using the correct version. (I know you are now - but it would have helped before)

The new version checking routine creates another log file called 'ZProcessVerifyFiles.log' It is also found in the current day's backup directory.

Try it out... I have built in help in the log file... Here's a sample...

Code:
****************************
File Exists: C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvr.exe        1146880 bytes,    Created: 20/02/2007,    FileVersion: 1.0.2607.17606
File Exists: C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Comskip.exe        471040 bytes,    Created: 23/09/2006,

File Exists: C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\mplex1.exe        110592 bytes,    Created: 17/12/2006,
File Exists: C:\Program Files\mplayer\mencoder.exe        9544704 bytes,    Created: 08/12/2006,

    Does exist BUT *** MEncoder *** not default file size...
    Try: http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html or
    http://www3.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/win32/MPlayer-mingw32-1.0rc1.zip

    MPlayer is included with MEncoder. Install in default location

File Exists: C:\Program Files\mplayer\mplayer.exe        9835520 bytes,    Created: 08/12/2006,    FileVersion: 1.0rc1-3.4.2
File Exists: C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe        93184 bytes,    Created: 04/01/2007,    FileVersion: 0.8.6a

Currently the help listings are only for MEncoder. I'm doing the same for all the other files...

Good Catch Ryno...

[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

In the Regional Settings, you have to change to an English 'speaking' country in the 'Standards and Formats' section. The 'Location' does not have to change...

(you'll notice the quotes around speaking - sometimes I wonder if any of us really can speak English good like) Big Grin

I believe its the date format that is screwing things up. Perhaps MEncoder doesn't like the Swedish dates... (Myself, I'd love to have a Swedish date... Wink )

Actually, you could leave it in Swedish and just customize the dates...

In the ZProcess log you can see how it DOES handle the date format changes... So it must be MEncoder. Oh Well. Something to tell new folks.

Code:

Frank,

I have trancoded a couple more movies and the subtitle get renderd in perfectly. The position slider also works just fine, good job there!

About MEncoder and Swedish dates, there i a numeros tools using MEncoder, (for example SimpleDivx) and I haven't had any problem with these and Swedish dates (format Smile ) before... But as I wrote earlier, i dosen't matter to me if I have to change the date format. Thank you for a good app getting even better!

Sure enough, if MEncoder works with other front-ends, then the fault lies with ZProcess. I think I'm going to take you at your word when you say that it's not a big deal. It might be a tough problem to work out.

If it becomes a REAL nuisance, let me know...

Thanks for working this out with me
