Ouch. Just deleted an episode my daughter's favourite show: "Noddy" [Image: biggrin.gif] Lucky for me I have recorded more episodes. Could have resulted in a minor world crisis otherwise =)

When I press a key on my remote, the GUI won't respond immediately, which I suppose is an issue with my slow computer =) So, in the recordings section, I pressed "down" twice, and then ok, in order to go to "exit". Obviously, one of the "down" presses didn't take, so I only got to "delete". Gone it is [Image: wow.gif]

I realize not everyone wants confirmation on deletion, perhaps an option in the config?

This is something that can be added in the xrecord plugin.

I will add it to my todo list.

I would also like to very much see a confirmation for deletion, at least as a configuration option. It would also be nice to be able to add even tighter control over deletion from the MVP. Maybe I'm a control freak, but I don't want my wife or kids to be able to delete (accidentally or otherwise) any recordings. I don't mind having to go to the actual PC to delete them.

BTW, is there any problem just deleting the folders for recorded shows in Explorer instead of using the GBPVR menus?

i would hate to have to delete the folders in explorer, my pc is setup as an htpc, using explorer is a pain (overscan issues) this should be left up to gbpvr, it only deletes it if the dir is empty (im pretty sure anyway). be nice (wish, but like a year away (not important enough until then)) to have passwords on certain recordings, even tv shows. just md5 em.
yeah and confirmation would be nice. also when you leave a group in the recordings menu it would be nice if that group was still selected, presently when you leave the first group is selected.

the xrecord plugin has the ability to lock certain channels or shows. Such that you can not delete or view the show without the 4 digit passcode.

xrecord now has the confirmation box. You can now activate it in the skin. And no the password is not md5ed. [Image: smile.gif]

It is in a plain text file. I believe if you do the really obvious solution nobody will look for it there. [Image: smile.gif]

hehe sure, ahh the password is only really for kids i suppose, they wouldnt know how to get it (well if they can, they're probably old enough to watch it). just put it in a hidden file, in an unshared directory on the network, should be good enough for most people. oh and dont use youre eftpos pin number/credit cad pin number, that would just be silly Tongue

The Video Archive plug-in also has a confirm deletes dialog, which is enabled by default.
