The reason I suggested HIP is because I know the built in MCE IR Blaster support is buggy. It was only ever partially implemented. There is enough there that it works for some people, but if people have problems I suggest they switch to hip, since its a much more complete implementation. It also has a lot more options and flexibility. There isnt really any tweakable GB-PVR settings when it comes to it's builtin support for this.

In your setup you dont need to use the remote side of HIP, but rather its support for the IR Blaster. There is a couple details pages about how to configure HIP on the wiki: http://www.gbpvr.com/pmwiki/

thanks for the link and explaination, I agree with you now that I have had more time to play around with HIP config. My previous experience was with Girder and I did not like that but HIP is simple and quick to configure.

It seems to be working fine now for recordings and I am able to add additional commands. I am having a issue with double commands but am working on that now

Thanks for the help Sub!!! Smile

pvrwookie:

It seems you and I have the exact same problem. I too had the same question regarding how HIP would help the situation. Thanks for the explanation sub (and for checking my logs)!Smile

Since you are having luck w/ HIP, I'll try the same.

My setup:

AMD Turion64 ML-37, Shuttle SK21G bare bones box, 768MB RAM, PVR150MCE + MCE Beanbag remote w/ USB transceiver(blaster).

Herb, thanks I replaced the .dll for MCE remote but still was getting wierd results and still some keys doubled.\

I am sorta happy I really dont like the MCE remote anyways, the Haupague remote works well and HIP uses the blasters fine so I am happy. Actually I am tinkering with HIPSEND to help my stb to change into different modes via batch files this is really cool.

Sub, I was wondering if there is a possibility to run a BATCH file when switching sources? IE: I have a STB that has two modes but needs to be switched via the remote. If I could execute the HIPSEND before changing to a channel on that source this would make it sweet Smile

Until recently (within the last month) I wasn't having any problems whatsoever with the IR200L controlling my DishTV 311, but now it won't tune properly for scheduled recordings. It also won't tune from the TV Guide. In both cases, it just goes to whatever channel it was last on. Manual tuning during Live TV works fine, either from the main keyboard, the number pad, or the up/down keys.

I'll attach the most recent logs.
