Finally manage to download the hibernator by using my company email instead of personal email. Got it installed but still not able to work. I then turned on the task manager and noticed the CPU usage came out periodically above 50% when the GBPVR screensaver is turned on. Decided to turn off the screensaver on the config and the CPU usage drop to periodically around 13%. The standby still not able to work. However if i quit GBPVR back to window the CPU usage drop below 4% and standby works good even with gbpvrrecordingservice runs in the background. My guess if GBPVR keeps the CPU above certain percentage the system will never able to trigger any form of standby no matter what software we use.

I cant think why you'd be seeing any CPU usage if it wasnt doing anything. Have you installed any plugins?

I have no plugin. Attached is the screen capture on the taskmanager when GBPVR is on before and after the screensaver comes in. You can see periodic spike on the cpu usage. If I just closed GBPVR and in window mode all these spike reduce to 0-4%.

Do you have GB-PVR set to run MVP servers? If so, try stopping them to see if these spikes go aware.

no i dont have any MVP. This is just a standalone PC which is connected to my wireless router and runs GBPVR. Is there any option in the config file that I should uncheck to stop the GBPVR from accessing some info periodically?

I'm not sure what info that might be. I'm not aware of anything it checks periodically. Are you running any plugins?

What spec is the CPU in your machine? If its only doing these peaks when the screen saver is present, you could try adding <DisableAnimation>true</DisableAnimation> to config.xml

I have the basic skin plugin and nothing else. I have added in the <DisableAnimation.........> to config.xml (does it have specific where to be added?)

System spec: AMD Athlon 64 3000 on Gigabyte GAM61PM-S2

The <DisableAnimation......> didnt help either. I finally manage to put my PC to standby (using normal window standby feature not hibernator) by disabling the screensaver on the config file. The system will wake up for recording and back to standby again once recording is done. Seems my problem was originated from the GBPVR screensaver which periodically trigger the CPU above 50% usage. Hopefully this is the final solution.

For those whose hibernator didnt work could also try out this program that could put your system to standby or schedule shutdown. http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Laun...tter.shtml:)
