For a while now I've been getting channel numbers in the 2000 range which appear to be duplicates of some of the channels I have on my DirecTv service or on my analog cable tv.

I've tried deleting the channels from the channels tab in the configuration screen as well as being sure that these channels do not exist in my Zap2it channel lists. I've emptied the EPG for all sources and repopulated the channels list, but no matter what I do I still have these non-existent channels. Any ideas on how to purge them for good?

This has probably occurred because various channels have been renamed. GB-PVR thinks these channels are new so try to insert them, but finds there is already a channel using their specified channel number, so it just allocates them the new highest number.

These are valid channels which are part of your lineup, and shouldnt be deleted. They'll reappear each EPG update. If you're not interested having these channels, you can disable them in your zap2it channel lineup at http://labs.zap2it.com.

To fix properly, you should "remove" the channel with the old name, then correct the channel number back to the one it is normally allocated.

Ah, okay. I do see that channel 236 shows up as both 'ETV' and now the new 'E' at channel 2011. What you stated is definitely the case.

So in trying to 'fix' things, I've seemed to really screw things up.

*EDIT* I went ahead and did a clean install and all is well.
