No Kiddin' and here's another one http://www.worldtimeserver.com/atomic-clock/ I've had good luck with it.

When researching the issue a while back I came to the conclusion that the inbuilt windows sych option doesn't work well and can't really be trusted. Seemed the consensus.

Cheers

Windows 2000 has it builtin also (w32time). This is a very simple setup method. http://www.netadmintools.com/art313.html
It can be further configured in the registry but this will execute every 8 hours or so after the initial connection with an NTP time server. I don't remember if you have to set the service to run automatically in computer management or if it sets to that after you run setsntp to set the server that you want it to check with.

I agreed with gED.

net time /setsntp:<server name>

Also, I have an old system with the clock so off, i have to sync it ONCE per minute. It can lose 10 seconds in 30. It's awesome.

I used Dimension 4 linked to the MS Server until about a year ago when I discovered that my computer's clock was being adjusted as much as 2 minutes a day (alternating fast and slow). This caused us to lose of the beginning or end of many recordings at random.

After a lot of troubeshooting, I confirmed that the MS server was the culprit. It seems that, at certain times of the day, the server was not responding fast enough to maintain the local time. The D4 history showed a gradually increasing error and then a sudden overcorrection.

I switched to the Naval Observatory and have had excellent results ever since.

windows cannot set the time.
there is a setting for it, and you can tell it to do it, but I have NEVER gotten it to work correctly.

I have used the one from argosoft happily for many years.
