Hello,
I'm sorry if the answer to this is somewhere else, but I searched and searched and couldn't find it....

I'm doing a clean install of GB-PVR and I'm trying to change the number of rows in the live tv osd guide. I thought it was in "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin\Blue\tv listings" in the line...

<SpecialElement name="Guide" loc="120,80" size="540,280" visibleChannels="7" guideMinutes="120" scrollMinutes="60" showNavigation="false" borderWidth="2" showStatusColor="false" showStatusIcon="true" brightenCurrentShowsPercent="16" />

But, I changed it from "2" and restarted the recording service and it didn't change anything. If someone can help me figure this out, I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

TV Listings is a 3rd party plugin and does not have anything to do with the OSD guide. You need to adjust the live-skin.xml file in the \blue\TvGuide folder.

Ok,
I have the "visible channels" set to 6 in the live-skin.xm. in c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\skin\blue\tv guide:

<SpecialElements>
<SpecialElement name="Guide" loc="50,380" visibleChannels="6" channelRowHeight="40" guideWidth="540" showNavigation="false" borderWidth="2" rounded="false" showChannelIcons="true"/>
<SpecialElement name="TimePeriods" loc="50,348" />
<SpecialElement name="SelectedProgrammeTitle" loc="120,1385" size="540,20"/>
<SpecialElement name="SelectedProgrammeDesc" loc="120,1403" size="540,60"/>
<!--<SpecialElement name="CurrentTime" loc="620,15"/>-->
<!-- popup -->
<SpecialElement name="ProgrammePopupButtons" loc="35,125" spacing="0"/>
<SpecialElement name="ProgrammePopupTitle" loc="170,130" size="480,20"/>
<SpecialElement name="ProgrammePopupDesc" loc="170,155" size="475,50"/>
</SpecialElements>

However, I am still only getting two rows on my mini-guide. Perhaps some more information would be good. I am using the MVP exclusively, and have the xmltv plugin, the tv listings plugin and the mvp tray icon plugin (which shouldn't have any effect). Could one of these be interferring with the mini-guide on the MVP?

Also, I don't know if I mentioned this before, but this is a clean install of 99.12

Thanks again!

The problem is in the OSD, you have only 480 vertical pixels to work with.

Code:
<SpecialElement name="Guide" loc="50,[color=red][B]380[/B][/color]" visibleChannels="6" channelRowHeight="40" guideWidth="540" showNavigation="false" borderWidth="2" rounded="false" showChannelIcons="true"/>

The Guide is starting at 380 pixels down. Each row is 40 pixels high, so two rows adds 80 pixels (460).

So, to make a long story longer....

To see all six rows, you need to start the guide 160 pixels higher, at 220 instead of 380.

Thought I would go through explaining things in detail instead of just giving a quick answer.

AAHHHHH Got it. I made it 7 rows and moved up the headers too.

Here is the live-skin.xml file in case anyone wants it.
