Sounds like you can give it a try now. If it does not work, send me your SearchWiz.log and I'll take a look.

Unfortunately, it didn't work. I don't see a SearchWiz.log. Where is it or how do I envoke the creation of one? Thanks.

Your log files can be found under your GBPVR directory under logs/. I suggest the following:
  • Shut down GBPVR
  • Shut down the recording service (Programs->Gb-pvr->Stop Svc)
  • Delete all files under gbpvr/logs (some may not delete if the recording service is still running)
  • Start up config
  • Go to plugins tab
  • Selecting SearchWiz plugin and closing dialog.
  • Start up GBPVR
Zip up ALL files in the gbpvr/logs directory and email (or attach to post).


I will take a look and see if I can figure out what the problem is.

Sorry it's taken a while for me to get this to you.

As per your last post, I followed your instructions and here is the zip file with only the logs from a fresh start of GBPVR and the error I get when starting Search Wizard.

Looks like something is wrong with your skin files for Community-Ws. Could you try the Blue skin or the Community skin.

If those work, then you can convert the SearchWiz skins to the Community-WS via a tool I created for Fatman_do. I can walk you thru the steps to upgrade the Community SearchWiz skin to Community_WS.

If Blue does not work, zip up the logfiles (when you are using Blue), and I'll take another look.

I tried running SearchWiz while using the Blue skin and got the same error. Here are the log files from that, collected the same way they were collected before.

Ok, I've created a new version 0.5.2 that has logging around the area that I believe the problem is. This version has skins for Blue, Community and Community-WS.

This version can be found here: http://home.comcast.net/~damicoa/SearchW...V0.5.2.zip

When installing, make sure GBPVR is not running and the recording service is stopped.

Give that a try, if it still fails, zip the logs and send my way.

I still get an error with version 0.5.2, but as you mentioned, the error is more descriptive. Here are the logs.

You should also double-check and make sure you get the same error in "Blue". Just to cover all the bases.

It looks like you are blowing up when trying to initialize the PhoneKeys object. You have a different version of CommonGBPVRUtilities.DLL in which the PhoneKeys object resides.

These are my versions:
06/10/07 11:02:24:881 AM[1] INFO CommonGBPVRUtilities : 3.0.2657.39148
06/10/07 11:02:24:881 AM[1] INFO GbpvrUiElements : 0.6.1.0

Here are yours:
06/10/07 06:31:33:296 PM[1] INFO CommonGBPVRUtilities : 3.0.2563.37655

I've zipped up my versions and attached to this thread. Backup your versions, then unzip these and try again.
