I uninstalled my very old previous version which worked until I went thru all the Windows XP updates, then installed v0.99.12 and reconfigured it from scratch. Since then, I can schedule recordings, but when it's time for them to start, they build the proper directory but do not create a file. The "GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log" file starts growing in size until my HD is full. To stop that I have to 3-finger-salute and kill the GBP service. Looking at the log I see this:

My computer: HP Pavilion, AMD Athlon XP3000+ 2.10 GHz, 1meg RAM, XP Home Service Pack 2 - all current updates,
2 Haupauge cards - 250 and a 350, the 350 is set as #1 the 250 is #2, I've tried swapping this and still no love.
This system worked fine before the Windows updates and new install of GBPVR. Any clues where I should start looking?
