How to record a program while sleeping

Hello, I want to record a program that will air at 6:00 AM Eastern Standard time but I will be sleeping by then. If I leave my computer on, it will go to sleep after a period of inactivity. If I set a recording at 6 AM, will the computer wake up out of sleep mode to record the show for me in GBPVR or will I need to do something extra for this to happen? Thanks.

Yes it should do this by default - just set up a test recording, put you PC to sleep, and see what happens to be sure.

If it doesn't wake, check the Task Scheduler service is running, and if on Vista/7, also check that "Allow wake events" is enabled from within the advanced power settings in control panel.
