Export Reccuring and Pending Recordings

Hi,

is there a way to export and import reccuring and pending recordings? I'm having issues with my system (again!!!!) and and I want to keep all my recordings and pending recordings...I know export recordings seems to work pretty well, but being able to import and export recurring and pending recordings would be good as well.

Should I head off to the wishlist or is there a way already?

No there isnt, but probably in a future release.

Thought I'd mention that I found a problem with pBSs scripts, where the import will only work IF the source channels have not changed at all.

In other words its great if you back up and restore. But if you move systems, or rebuild, it will probably bomb out on you.

That's why I started working on my own program Tentatively called ZSchedFix. It's designed to perform lots of database functions but only one really good so far. Export and Import of reoccurring and previously recorded shows.

During import it verifys the capture source, source channels, and channel list, and repopulates. It also calls the EPG Update to be sure it's a one stop shop.

I'm adding one more tweak before I release it... I have to admit it's very basic right now, because it's missing tonnes of features. But the one you want works excellently.

I have a feeling I have oddities in the database, but the thought of having to start from scratch puts me off. I have lots of recurring entries for things that haven't been on for months, in the hope of re-runs - I can't see how I could get these back into the season recordings as they don't appear in an EPG.

Well guys then ZSchedfix would be the thing for you. It would back up the database and reoccurring shows, you could then rebuild and then import them all back in.

Again, it's working well for me, but I haven't released it because Import and Export is all it does at the moment. I'm also adding, insertion of recording events that aren't actually in the schedule yet (in august, I might be interested in a new show, and don't want to miss it, so I add it rright then and there...)
