analog tuning - snow, lines, etc HVR 1300 - Can I improve it?

I have a TV also connected to the cable input (thru a booster) and the TV is great quality, but the recordings (and LIVE TV) on one or 2 of my channels are often not very good quality due to snow/speckles, diagonal colour stripes, etc. I'm assuming these are tuning issues.

is there any way to do fine tuning adjustment maybe?

Not really - it just relies on the drivers for the device to lock the signal correctly.

In the place of the channel number in the capture source channel list you can enter the specific frequency you want it to tune to. This normally holds the channel number, but if its a big number it treats it as a frequency. You'd have a bit more flexibility tweaking a frequency, but I dont know if you'll find a better signal though.
