Normally when playing recordings I get an on-screen-display (OSD) when I move the cursor into the GBPVR window.

I installed Media Player Classic and the K-Lite code pack to play some other files that WMP couldn't manage.

Afterwards GBPVR recordings wouldn't play and an error message (something like 'GBVVR can't continue') appeared, then GBPVR exited.

I deinstalled the K-Lite codec/Media Player Classic pack.

Now recordings play OK but the OSD is gone. I changed to 'Overlat Renderer' and the OSD came back but the buttons don't work.

Any advice? TIA

What video decoder do you have selected on the playback tab of the config app? Dont leave it on 'system default'.

It is set to 'system default'. (As it was when everything worked). I tried the alternative, which turned out to be 'Nero Video Decoder' but that hasn't restored the OSD.

Install one of the following free video decoders, then try again:

I tried the MPV decoder. I followed the install instructions linked from the page. I selected the new decoder. Success!!
