Problems with client mode

For some reason client mode (streamimng) just won't work. I get the client to start, show the TV Guide, but when I want to start a show, it just sits there. After a minute or so it displays "Unable to communicate with recording service".

Occasionally I get the show to start, but then after some time it hangs...

Ocassionally I don't get the TV guide either. It says I have to configure some channels...

When I look at the server it displays a status showing it is stil playing that show I wanted to see. Firewalls are off, virus checkers off.
The logs does'nt display any warnings or errors. Net 2.0 is installed.

Obviously some sort of communication problem but what? Another computer I had set up worked flawlessly so I the problem has to be with the client computer. Sigh! Help please!

Mayby, maybe I hade gbpvr installed before Net 2.0. Could that be it? How do I remedy that?

are you sure the firewall is off on both machines? and there is nothing else that would block the ports for client streaming?

you would just reinstall GB-PVR, that should take care of any problems that might (but shouldn't) have occurred.

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the client and server logs and I'll take a look.
