New Vista 1.08 install - no LiveTV or Recordings

My XP machine went belly up, and I reinstalled it with Vista. I am unable to play LiveTV or watch TV from the TV Guide. It goes immediately to a black screen for a second and then returns to the menu. I have Hauppauge PVR 150MCE, and it worked well with XP. I tried running the Config and the PVRx2 programs as administrator, and deleting the existing database. Neither helped.

Does it work with the Hauppauge software?

make sure you have WMP 11 installed, their is also an update to it. that may be one of your issues. if its a hapaugee card, i woudl also suggest making sure you can use WINTV2000 just to make sure you can pull up live tv as sub said.

edit: i also have the pvr150MCE btw its running fine on my machine.

The Hauppauge software WinTV and WinTV32 software plays fine. Windows Update doesn't show any required updates. Could I be missing Codecs?

It's working now. I hadn't installed the Hauppauge driver and application software since Vista had installed the drivers from Windows Update. That was apparently not enough for functionality. When I installed WinTV and driver software last night, it fixed the problem.
