I was able to make emunation run with gb-pvr, but altought with dvbdream emunation is able to decrypt Sat, with GB-PVR it doesn´t do anything.

I´m clueless. I also tried N3XT with the same results.

CodeMonkey, are you still out there?

EDIT:
Got a reply from n3xt by the developers on Emunation forum and it is:

"An application must support the delivery of the sat position for it to work, See http://dvbn.happysat.org/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=51813 I'd be happy to include support if you can get me the strings needed to id the app and get the author to pass the sat position as requested in that other thread."

Sub, can you help us with that. Or is it something too complicated to do?

Sorry, but it doesnt support this. I'm not sure what field this in the TPROGRAM82 structure, but I'm guessing its one of the many fields left on a default value.

Currently info like satellite location isnt stored in the application, so it would be a bit of a hassle to add it the right way, but if you can find out from then which values that need set, I'll add some registry settings that can be used to specify the default uses in that structure.

Thank you sub. I´ve just posted the question on emunation/n3xt forum (http://dvbn.happysat.org/viewtopic.php?f...63#p327163). Let´s hope this will work.

There has got to be a better way of mapping channels than config offers -seems as though it was designed to manage <~25 channels, not in excess of 200 like D* offers. Jeez, what happens when D* remaps the channels again? - CHAOS! Are there any better tools/methods out there?

I ran into the same issue. I handled it with a batch file to run an external SQL UPDATE in a batch file. The batch file was created from the scan.cache file of GBPVR. Essentially, I used the PID as my channel number, did a lookup in the CHANNEL table for the matching channel_oid and used that as my entry into the SOURCE_CHANNEL_MAPPING table to paste the tuning string from the scan into the tuning_request field. A macro or two in UltraEdit created the batch file I needed by sticking a "Call SQLTempBatchFile.bat" at the beginning of each line in the cache/bat file, followed by the PID and some quotes around the tuning string.

The SQLTempBatchFile.bat just took the PID and tuning string as a parameters and ran the needed SQL UPDATE.

After that was set up, mapping was pretty easy even with 500+ channels. I never used the config mapping method.

To be honest, I have no idea - but I have tried to set the sat position in the TP82 structure next release, so hopefully it'll work for you.
