I set up my HDHomerun tuner per the instructions on the Silicondust site, and could see video while mapping channels in the GB-PVR config interface, but attempting to watch live TV in the applications results in a black screen for a moment, and it then returns to what it was doing prior.
Any ideas? (I couldn't stop the record process, so its logs are in the attached zip.)
Thanks, John

I am having this problem as well. I see the video in the mapping screen, but not when I tune in the Live TV view.

Followed the directions from the HDHR site as best I could, due to them being somewhat out of date.

May your firewall software is blocking communication between PVRX2.exe/GBPVR.exe and your HDHomeRun?

I updated the instructions on the Silicondust forums to include PVRX2.exe in the firewall exceptions list. The only thing out of date now in the instructions is the QAM channel mapping. I will be updating those in a day or two.

It was the firewall, thanks.

I've just mapped a few channels in GBPVR so far -- I'll wait until the official instructions come online to see if I'm doing it right. Smile

Thanks!

The mapping in GB-PVR has not changed, only the initial setup of the HDHomeRun. IE: the method of remapping the channels on the HDHomeRun (now using the Channel Editor instead of the QAM Mapper and hdhomerun_bda.remap file).

The instructions made it sound like I should set my own mappings in the HDHR setup before mapping in GBPVR, but the two do not appear to effect each other. No matter the mapping I mapping I give it in HDHR setup, they come up as the original "re-map".

Everything appear to work, it is just a lot more difficult to map in GBPVR with these mappings that have really odd numbers. Smile
