I'm about to switch from Zap2It to one of the new EPG sources, YahooXMLTV (see this thread). The problem is the reoccurring recording settings. Is there a way to export them?

I've accumulated about 2 dozen reoccurring entries over the past year and would like to export them before I remove the recording source (a required step in the process of going over to YahooXMLTV). A lot of these shows are seasonal and are not currently airing. When they do come back (next Fall mostly), I would rather not have to program them all over again.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Sub, I am in the same boat and I was figuring I would just change the EPG source for the existing Capture source... This strategy would not work?

Only if the channel names are exactly the same. (including the channel number being part of the channel name)

Whatever you end up doing, backup your database first.

A similar issue - if I want to switch between my GB-PVR server and client (moving the tuner, of course), is there a way to export and import scheduled recordings?
* Rogers Analog Cable [Canada]
* Hauppauge WintTV PVR USB2
* IBM Thinkpad T42 / 1GB Mem / Centrino 1.6Ghz / 60GB HD / ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 + VGA/DVI out
* MCE Remote + Keyboard
* Win XP SP2 / GBPVR [Latest version. always]
* Pioneer HDTV via VGA (1360x768)
* MS Remote Keyboard
* Logitech Harmony 880 [via MS Remote Control Reciever]

i made a couple of batch files that will export/import season recordings...Smile
it won't help you with the duplicates issue cuz it doesn't save that..
it *just* exports re-occuring recordings..no one offs...
it chokes on certain special characters so not 100% bulletproof..

as always. backup everything as it's not guaranteed to work perfectly.....but i think it's the only solution out there..
and at very least you'll have a nice list of info to manually re-import..Smile

Sounds cool. When (if... I still debate myself on the setup) I move my tuner to the other PC, I will surely use this one.

but this solves that..the rest can be exported similarly..[one offs, manuals]
