My actual symptom is that I don't get to hear anything playing Sad

As far as I can tell from the logs though it is not loading the key mappings for the Music Library. I only see:

2007-07-30 10:24:45.436 INFO Log started
2007-07-30 10:24:45.436 INFO Key pressed: Down
2007-07-30 10:24:46.343 INFO Key pressed: Down
2007-07-30 10:24:47.234 INFO Key pressed: Down
2007-07-30 10:24:48.484 INFO Key pressed: Return

in the log and then nothing else. ON screen all is as I would expect up until trying to play anything when nothing (apparently) happens.

In the config I have "Default (Hauppauge)" for the remote

Also in the logs I see it load the key mappings main.xml but I never see it load key mappings music.xml (though I am not sure if that is what I would see?)

It's pretty much a default install. I've not changed anything since first install but not used it much pending reorganising my network.

Any suggestions?

Its related to the keymapping xml files.

Try playing an audio file, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

I restarted all - let it boot the dongle etc then when it eventually came up scrolled into Music Library, down a couple of levels and tried to play a file.

Logs attached

Hope this help!

The PVRX2 MVP server is only getting one of its two required connections from the MVP. This will be either because you've left one of the two Hauppauge MVP services running, or because your software firewall is getting in the way. I suspect the latter...

Several users found that upgrading to 1.0.8 they had to change their firewall settings otherwise they'd get similar settings to you've reported above.

Thanks Sub - superb support as ever

It was the XP firewall - rather odd as I remember having to add the exception before and I can't work out how it could have got lost Sad

Anyway working nicely now.

Cheers from UK Smile
