No Live TV

I just bought an ATI Theater 550 Pro tuner for my PC ( Dell xps 410 - pentium D 2.8ghz, 1gig Ram, Vista Business ) and the software that came with it is garbage. It doesn't work with the Tuner even though says Vista ready. arg! Thanks ATI! I've installed pvrX2 and have been able to get TV listings to work and the channel scan worked, epg imported fine. Problem is Live TV just returns to the main menu after a couple seconds.

It installed ok but, ReRegisterFilters returns some DLLs installed but call did not return.

Even went to the GBPVR folder and ran the batch as "Administrator".

Any Ideas?

Did you apply the vcredist_x86 updated, as described in the release announcement?

Hi there, I get the same error messages when re-registering the filters. I did make sure that I used the vcredist_x86 that was linked from the 1.4.7 install instructions.

I'm using a new Win7x64 ox as a client to my old faithful XP server. I can see the GBPR program guide and initiate recordings from the client. I can see the server's programs, but when I select one for playback in GBPVR I get a black screen.
WMP is able to play back the recordings OK.

Any suggestions please? ...Martin

The only situation I'm aware of that would give that error is if you dont have vcredist_x86 installed.

OK, so I uninstalled GBPVR and deleted the DEVNZ directory. I then reinstalled. Now works fine!
I suspect that the re-register filters script can sucessfully unregister the filters, but can't reregister them for some reason? Could be a weird Win7 permissions thing - but I don't know.
