Hi

I just got my winTV and installed the original software on my Vista and find that it works - I get all the channels but the quality and ease of use is not good.

I found GBPVR and installed it on my Fast dual core pc with 2g ram and Vista Ultimate Nvidia Gforce 7300 GT

It comes up saying that there is a third party software missing? ##"GB-PVR will not function correctly unless you have WinXP SP1 or higher, which has a built-in DVR-MS mux filter."

Furthermore trying to watch it says that No channels have been setup - please run Config Utility

I tried but So many options to choose Sad

In Recording source, I set it to Hauppauge Nova T 500 DVB-t (1)

EPG source : dont know what to put in the choice of 4 I did DVB EPG Broadcast that sounded right

Channel Changer: Have no idea what to put

Generally there are so many selections to make that I must have selected a few of them wrong.

Wondering how others managed to set this up. Is there a install document somewhere?

Sorry to ask so many questions, but any answer to any of the questions is very much appreciated

There is a heap of documentation over at: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki

The gist is, create a capture source, using the BDA Recording plugin, with the EPG set to DVB EPG, and the channel changer set to 'none', then hit the 'map digital channels to epg channels' button. It'll now do a channel scan and show you a list of channels it found. Tick those that you want to keep, then ok out of the config app and you should be good to go.
