Disclaimer: Just starting to jump into the the PVR world.

I just received my Hauppauge WinTV PVR 500 tuner from ebay and dropped it in. Then had Windows 10 install the driver and it looked ok from the perspective of Device Manager. But in NextPVR, it's not listed as a device. I only see "IPTV Device". Is this card too old to use? I also don't have a WinTV installation disk, as again, the card is from ebay. Logs attached. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

For old-school Hauppauge Analog TV Tuners, you need to have the WinTV software installed before it'll be detected. (or at least their SoftPVR component)

Ah, didn't realize it was an analog tuner. Well I installed the SoftPVR component, restarted and the tuners appeared in NextPVR. This thing is, I have it hooked up to an indoor over the air digital antenna. I'm guessing that's why scanning for channels yielded no results. I know the antenna works because I get channels if I hook it up directly to my TV. Does this mean the card is of no use to me? And I need to get a digital tuner?

Yeah, it's not going to pick up any digital channels. It's an old analog-only device.

Indeed, there are no analog OTA broadcasts in the US any longer. Sad Hauppauge makes a card with 4 OTA digital tuners. Note that it requires a PCIe slot. See: http://hauppauge.com/site/products/data_quadhd.html
Q9400 Core2Quad, 4GB RAM, Win10 Pro, Nvidia GT710, HDHomeRun Prime, NPVR 5.0.7
On a clear disk, you can seek forever...

I see. At least I didn't pay too much for this outdated card. The current 4 OTA tuner looks exactly what I need. Thanks for the help!
