@PBS - thanks for the sugegstion to try Z-Process, that's worth looking at.

ok think i tried that one and it was worse ive tried so many i gave up
analog is so much more forgiving even though the picture isnt as sharp at least it watchable
i know where your coming from owell good luck

I'd also recommend trying the v5.0.1307 mux. My recordings are perfectly in sync.

Well @PBS had the solution for me - ZProcess. Now I use the DVR-MS BDA Multiplexer and playback through the MVP looks spot on - sharp and clear with Lip synced all the way through, plus the picture fills the screen (well except TV3's 4:3 transmissions of course). I'm a happy camper at last with DVB-S.

Sub, I use a 42" Plasma wide screen.
